Rob Murray -

Director

Accredited Exercise Physiologist

MClinExPhys - BSpSc&Phys - ESSAM

Rob graduated with a Masters in Clinical Exercise Physiology from the University of Queensland in 2012. Since then, he has worked at QLD Health as a Senior Exercise Physiologist within the Type 2 Diabetes and Healthy Kidneys Program, he runs the QUT Health Clinics as the Exercise Physiology Clinic Coordinator, and runs his business, Atrium Exercise Physiology. Throughout his career so far he has honed his skills in musculoskeletal and pain rehabilitation, and chronic disease management.

In his spare time, Rob likes to keep fit in the gym, pool and on the bike, and enjoys rugby and cricket. He believes that motion is lotion and that movement is key to improving and maintaining health. He uses evidence-based practice to develop programs which facilitate positive lifestyle and behavioural modification.

Sabino Garcia - Manager

Accredited Exercise Physiologist

Sabino completed a Bachelor of Clinical Exercise Physiology in 2019 from Queensland University of Technology (QUT). As an Accredited Exercise Physiologist, Sabino uses exercise as a way of improving functional capacity and utilises behaviour change strategies to empower long-term adherence to a healthy quality of life. He believes in the use of exercise as a modality for both physical and mental health, regardless of the journey that is being taken, to reach self-appreciation and satisfaction.

When Sabino is not at work he enjoys bike riding, playing soccer and running as a form of keeping his own health in check. He’s recently dabbled into the world of triathlon and is keen to keep up these pursuits. In addition, he is frequently spotted exploring local coffee shops with friends and family.

Samuel Duck

Samuel graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Clinical Exercise Physiology from Queensland University of Technology (QUT). His lifestyle in sports and athletic development coaching led him to become an Accredited Exercise Physiologist. Sam utilises exercise as a form of medicine to help improve people’s physical and mental health.

In his spare time, Sam enjoys playing football (soccer), climbing mountains, and doing anything outdoors. So, keep an eye out on your local pitch or the trails as he may be about. Sam loves to run and stay fit in the gym, and he can’t stress enough the importance that exercise has on improving your quality of life.
